Huck Finn Ice Rink

Lake County's outdoor ice rink on Maple Street, open December to February when the weather allows, with skate rentals, a snack bar, hockey equipment, a fire pit and a sound system.

The Huck Finn Ice Rink at 445 Maple Street is run by Lake County Parks & Recreation, which calls it the largest and highest man-made rink in Colorado; its Parks and Facilities page gives it 30,000 square feet. The rink page lists skate rentals, a snack bar, hockey equipment, a fire pit and a sound system, and the facilities page adds a warming hut. The rink page gives the season as December to February, weather permitting; the facilities page says December to March. No daily skating hours are published.

On 10 October 2026 the rink page still read “Huck Finn Ice Rink is closed for the 2025/2026 season!” with its hours as “CLOSED for the season,” and had not yet announced the 2026–27 season; call 719-839-5476 before going. The county also lists Huck Finn Park at 6th and James streets and the Huck Finn Skatepark at 505 West 5th Street.

Address, phone and season were read on Lake County’s Huck Finn Ice Rink page and its Parks and Facilities page on 10 October 2026; the rink page’s notice for the 2025/2026 season is the dated evidence.
