Healy House Museum and Dexter Cabin

History Colorado's 1878 Healy House and the 1879 Dexter Cabin at the top of Harrison Avenue. Gift shop and exhibit hall open Wednesday to Sunday 10 am to 4 pm, with house tours at 10, 11:30, 1 and 2:30.

History Colorado runs the Healy House and Dexter Cabin on upper Harrison Avenue. Its page gives the gift shop and exhibit hall hours as Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm, with house tours at 10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm and 2:30 pm; a house tour takes about an hour and general admission about half an hour, and private tours can be booked. The museum is open on the Memorial Day and Labor Day Mondays. Children and members are free, admission is free for active military and their families from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and the page notes the tour is not fully wheelchair accessible. The page does not say whether the museum closes for the winter; call before a cold-season visit.

Two exhibitions are listed: “Winter Warriors: The 10th Mountain Division in World War II,” May 22, 2026 through September 26, 2027, and “12 Tablecloths by Chloé Duplessis,” September 12 through October 24, 2026.
