Scenic train rides from the old depot on East 7th Street: daily from Memorial Day weekend through September, weekly rides October to April, with Oktoberfest, Holiday Express and Winter Express trains.
The Leadville Railroad runs from the depot at 326 East 7th Street. Its site says: “We run Daily trips from Memorial Day weekend through September. October–April we run weekly rides.” Departure times and fares are on its booking calendar, not on the page; riding the caboose costs extra. Oktoberfest rides run through October (two hours round trip), Holiday Express tickets for the 2026–27 season were on sale with rides starting in November 2026 (two and a half hours), Winter Express trips are two hours, and the page said summer 2027 tickets go on sale in late October 2026.
